Western Welsh
Branding identity and design development work for a Welsh financial services company that wished to ground its logo and values in being a modern, serious, professional and regional / “Welsh” business.
The identity needed to be formal and have gravitas, but nonetheless, should still feel approachable and dependable.
The solution was in adopting the Welsh Dragon as the key symbol, but rather than showing it in its entirety, to focus on the ‘dragon rampant’ stance of the front of the animal with the arm raised, and to integrate it into a block that was reminiscent of a silver hallmark or gold hallmark, and pulling in clean, modern typography using semi-serif and sans-serif forms of Rotis to communicate modernity and formality.
Service: brand concept and design, initial web presence, stationery and print designs, guidelines and design asset packs.
