Teletext Holidays Silhouette Campaign

Evolution of the Teletext purple branded designs.
The requirement was for a new set of print advertisements, based very much on the existing format but signalling a definite shift in visual presentation, and using some kind of imagery-based impact to flag up destinations or holiday types, and to add a sense of reader inspiration as well as change in the overall ongoing campaign.
My solution was to cut away at the corners of the very structured purple advert blocks with white silhouette imagery that would appear to “bleed’ into the rest of the newspaper or magazine page and would make strong shapes within the advert itself. The imagery was stylised with additional semi-opaque splatters and scratches, and was based on palm trees, city skylines, specific worldwide landmarks, skiers etc.
