Rabbit Logo & Branding

The brief was to name and design a revolutionary chat & dating service run on digital television using mobile phones to send messages and photos.
The demographic was basically low, but nonetheless the requirement was for the brand itself not to patronise, but to feel friendly, cheeky, engaging and modern.
I came up with the name RABBIT, based on the cockney rhyming slang, deliberately to avoid falling into a crowded marketplace of very similar names revolving around the words ‘chat’ or ‘chatter’.
Matched with an ultra-modern typeface and a vibrant green (which would however need to be readable on a television screen) and a hot orange secondary colour, the RABBIT brand and service has been a great success.
